When you think of Mexico, there are many images that can spring to mind: the colourful Indian markets, sun, palms, folklore, rainforests, coral reefs, the Popocatépet volcano and the beautiful colonial cities. It really can be the holiday you have always dreamed of.

First of all there is the precolombiian history which will confront and fascinate you everywhere you go. One is able to truly appreciate the diversity of Mexico´s cultural heritage before being destroyed and conquered by the Spanish. Upon visiting the Mayan temple and pyramids you immediately want to know more about Mexican culture, history and the development of present day Mexican society.

Our partner school in Mexico offers you the possibility to enjoy all of these combined with a language course which without doubt will help you integrate with the Mexican people, their customs and history.

 

PLAYA DEL CARMEN - LEARN SPANISH topatlantika

The school is very is in a very beautiful building. It has air-conditioned rooms as well as a huge roof terrace. The reception area is very welcoming and there is always a nice and informal atmosphere.
The courses begin every Monday for each language-level and we offer private or group-lessons. In addition to the language course you can also book a diving course. The Spanish course in Playa del Carmen is officially accepted as educational leave, in many German states.

All of our teachers have got a university degree and years of experience in teaching Spanish as foreign language. As they constantly receive further training, we can provide you the best prepared teachers available.

PLAYA DEL CARMEN - HOST FAMILY

If you would like to become more involved in Mexican culture and society, you have the option of staying with one of our choosen host families, who live within easy reach of the language schools. The school and the beach are accessible within 5-20 minutes.

You can stay in a furnished single room or double room (if you are traveling together) with half-board or just breakfast. If there are any special eating habits (vegeterian) please inform us in advance so that the family can be informed

PLAYA DEL CARMEN - APARTMENTS

The majority of our pupils stay during their Spanish course in our amply sized apartments. The apartments have got two or more bedrooms, a living room with TV, a kitchen and one or more bathrooms. The kitchen is completely equipped and is shared with other students. Once a week your apartment is cleaned and your bedclothes changed.

Please bring your own towels. All the apartments are close to the language schools and will be reached in not more than 15 minutes by foot, and just 5 minutes by public transport. You can book double room, single rooms and dorm rooms for more people. If you are travelling alone you can also share a room with other students on the Spanish course.

Of course if you choose to stay at a hotel we would be more than happy to book it for you. If you wish to make your own arrangements your language school can be booked without accommodation.

 

PLAYA DEL CARMEN - CULTURE & SPORTS topatlantika

Every week the school offers a varied program of activities: dancing courses, cookery courses, Mexican fiestas, lectures about Mexico, movie nights, and exciting excursions to the bird sanctuary Xamán-Ha, the beach or surrounding area of playa del Carmen. The price for the activities is included in your course fee, except for excursions.
In general there are three different activities planned per week. The school is dedicated to helping you spend most of your time absorbing the language and ensure you are immersed in Spanish everywhere you go, with your host family, in class and also during the free activities. At the weekend there are some special day-trips to the Mayan sites, the jungle, the Caribbean coast, the natural parks or the old colonial city of Valladolid. You also have the opportunity to go snorkelling and diving.

Of course you can take some independent trips too. Mexico has a lot to offer: you can go diving, walk to the Caribbean coast, eat authentic tacos, have fun and plunge into the nightlife of Playa del Carmen or just relax and enjoy nature at its best.
