With just 283.560 square kilometres Ecuador is the smallest country in the Andes. Nevertheless, here you can find the opportunity to get to know the many different sides of South America. You will be able visit very contrasting places with many different climates, along with the amazingly varied flora and fauna: .... (La Sierra), The tropics, (EL Oriente) and subtropical climates (La Costa) to gorgeous colonial cities, volcanoes covered with snow, the east, with its tropical rainforests and the pacific coast with the extensive, palm-fringed beaches just to name a few of the many worthwhile places for taking a trip or excursion to.
If you are a nature lover you can take a trip to the most famous and beautiful archipelago in the world: the Galapagos. There you will discover many unique species of animal such as the giant turtle and sea lizard. Here it is possible to swim with dolphins, seals and sea lions.
Quito is situated at 2.800 metres in the highest valley in the Andes and at the foot of the snow- covered volcano “ Pinchincha”. It is one of the oldest and most beautiful capital cities in South America and has been declared a world cultural heritage site by UNESCO.
Although Quito is placed on the Equator the climate is very comfortable, fresh and sunny, like a year - round Spring.
The city offers all the attractions:museums, cinemas, cafés, restaurants, bars, discos and distinct possibilities to do many different sports.
The Ecuadorian people speak a very pure Spanish and they are known for their clear and articulate pronunciation. Their hospitality and openess makes it easier to experience a different culture and you will find the people have an open and friendly nature.

Our spanish partner school run by a European administrative team is one of the leaders in Ecuador and is open round year.
We offer Spanish courses, with private- or group lessons, or a combination of both. You can choose between standard courses with 20 hours per week or intensive courses with 30 hours per week. A individual plan will help you to get the best out of it.
The Spanish course in Quito is officially accepted as educational leave, in many German states.
All of our teachers have got a university degree and years of experience in teaching Spanish as a foreign language. As they regularly receive further training, we can provide you the best prepared teachers.

QUITO - HOST FAMILY
During their Language Holiday in Quito the mayority of our students live with Ecuadorian host families. This is the best way for you to become integrated into Ecuadorian culture and to learn about the customs and the language of the country. The families have been chosen carefully to ensure you have a fullfilling and worthwhile stay in Ecuador. They live close to the language school, not more than 20 minutes on foot.
You can stay in a furnished single or double room(if you are travelling together) with half-board or just breakfast. If there are any special eating habits (vegeterian) please tell us in advance so that we can inform the family.
QUITO - HOSTEL
We have an arrangement with a local hostel which offers basic, clean rooms in the centre of Quito. Nearby you will find many shops, restaurants and bars. By bus it takes about 20 minutes to the language school.

QUITO - CULTURE PROGRAMM top
Every week the school offers a full and varied activity program( e.g. dancing courses, fiestas, lectures) and interesting excursions toQuito´s surrouding areas. ( e.g. The equator, Indian markets, the Andes). This will allow you to get closer to Ecuadorian culture and to experience the many different aspects of the country. Usually we plan three different activities per week. The school is keen to help you learn the language, that is why you will be absorbing Spanish everywhere you go, with your host family, in the lessons and even in the free activities.
At the beginning of the course we take all our new students out and show you the city, the internet cafes, the shops and supermarkets and help you familarise yourself with the public transport, and everything you need to know to settle in.
